individual competition project “Re-use the Roman Ruin”

    10/05/2020-20/06/2020

  • This ancient water reservoir has suffered gradual deterioration, with the columns losing portions of plaster over time and holes forming in the ceiling, allowing daylight to penetrate.

The Roman construction techniques, tectonics, and spatial atmospheric values present in the Piscina Mirabilis make it an ideal candidate for conversion into a modern museum.

Given the significance of the structure, it is essential to establish a hierarchy of values that will determine the scale and form of the future museum.
